The Steering Group came together in July 2002 to investigate the feasibility of a community run and owned Urban Wind Park in the Castlemilk and Carmunnock areas of Glasgow. The aim is not to replace existing electricity suppliers in the area but to invest profits from the resultant sale of Green Energy produced into a Community Managed Trust for the benefit of the local community.
